JUNE 2010: TurnAround gives the $1,000 Susie Joyce TurnAround Life Financial Award to Chris Richards, graduating senior at Mountain View Alternative High School. Chris reports that he may use the gift to attend Barber school.

 

FEBRUARY 2010: TurnAround gives the $1,000 Susie Joyce TurnAround Life Financial Award to Travis Gehring, graduating senior at Mountain View Alternative High School. Travis reports he will apply his gift to his financial plan.

 

APRIL 2010: Kirby suspends TurnAround, LLC to accept a long-term quality assurance/audit engagement to turn around the national housing crisis. "This is an historic time for our economy and our nation," Kirby says. "I will work on this effort for the next few years and bring TurnAround, LLC back full force when this effort is over and the economy and housing market is stabilized."

 

JUNE 2009:

  • Lauren Kirby joins the Fairfax Area Christian Emergency Transition Services (FACETS) board of directors. FACETS provides a wide variety of services to help the homeless with transitional housing, clothing, food, mentoring, and hypothermia shelters.
  • Kirby joins the Governance Committee of Leadership Fairfax, Inc.
  • TurnAround gives the $1,000 Susie Joyce TurnAround Life Financial Award to Naqash Arshad, graduating senior at Mountain View Alternative High School.
  • Kirby joins the Speaker's Bureau for Five Talents International, a non-profit organization that offers micro finance programs to entrepreneurs in third-world countries.

     

     

    MARCH 2009: TurnAround's president, Lauren Kirby, performs as adjucator for MIT's Mid-Atlantic Business Plan competition and donates $3,200 worth of pro-bono services.

      

    FEBRUARY 2009: TurnAround gives its $1,000 Susie Joyce TurnAround Life Financial award to excited Senior, Jes Saunders, from Mountain View Alternative High School. Jes reports that he will use the award for a nice Valentine's Day dinner with his girlfriend and register at NOVA for Spring classes.

     

    OCTOBER 2008: Lauren Kirby wins an Acacia Savings Bank Nice Guys Award! Kirby was runner-up in the individual category and was presented with a beautiful engraved glass award at the October 2nd luncheon held at the Westin. She and her husband joined scores of other well-deserving community servants who remind us of the goodness, mercy and sacrifice shared for the common good.

     

    SEPTEMBER 2008:

    • Lauren Kirby was accepted in 2009 class of Leadership Fairfax. Graduation expected in June 2009.
    • On Sept. 19, TurnAround, LLC delivers "Top 10 Reasons Businesses Fail" speech at the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority sponsored by the Vienna Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce.  Click here for the presentation that was delivered.
    • Both Lauren and Pete Kirby were nominated individually for Accacia Mutual's 2008 Nice Guys Award.

     

     AUGUST 2008:

    • TurnAround's Northeast RVP, Rob Benjamin, publishes information asymmetry and why projects often fail articles on CM Crossroads
    • TurnAround president, Lauren Kirby, accepts role as VP Public Relations and Marketing for the National Association of Business Owners and Entrepreneurs (NABOE).
    • Kirby joins as co-founder of the Consortium for Non Profit Excellence (CNPE) and plans November 13 Money, Marketing and Management workshop.

    • Lauren Kirby has been accepted into the Leadership Fairfax Class of 2009.The year-long educational and community leadership program begins in September.
    • Kirby will be the featured speaker on the 6th at 7:30am for the Business Owner's Roundtable, meeting at Eggspectations, Chantilly.

     

    JULY 2008: TurnAround's Lauren Kirby will attend the ProDance Cheerleader's Convention in Dallas 7/29-31 to officially launch Kukuwa Klub, a newly designed children's fitness program for a fitness client.

     

    JUNE 2008:

    • Regional Vice President for TurnAround's NE Regional Office, Rob Benjamin, joins the company to support the NY, NJ, PA and DE regional markets. Rob is a seasoned executive/business coach and finance/operations/IT business process improvement manager and brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to TurnAround.     • TurnAround participated in the 'Greener by Design' conference held in Alexandria, VA to stay current on trends in the social responsibility and sustainability industry. We continue to explore how process drives business and how technologies (both environmental and technological) are innovating to meet new demands.  

     

    MAY 2008:

    • Graduating Senior Yenny Jimenez of Mountain View Alternative High School receives TurnAround, LLC's $1,000 TurnAround Life financial award.
